I have been a busy busy busy bee of late. So I have been absent from my blog - for that, I'm sorry. I even was scolded this week by a follower!
What have I been up to, you ask? Well, let's recap:
1. We finally, after two years, sold our latest (read final) real estate venture. Let's just sum that up with the fact that I could not sing the Halleluiah Chorus loud enough to celebrate.
2. We finally, after two years, are enclosing the upstairs porch off of the master bedroom to be functional space - a sitting room in the master, a storage closet, and a second master closet. Can I get an Amen? That project is in the final stages (just painting left), and I am a happy happy woman. Not to be ignored is the fact that I will have more room in my closet for shoes :).
3. I got myself a new ride. Yes, the 7 year old Benz has gone on to a new and happy owner, and I am the proud driver of a 2010 Barrents Blue Volvo XC60 with integrated booster seats. Amazing Grace! Now people over 6' tall can ride comfortably with leg room to spare.
4. Last, but certainly not least, just last week I turned in my notice of resignation of my job. Details on future ventures to come soon. My last day is next Friday, and for now it couldn't come soon enough! I will be doing a serious praise dance that day.
So, what fun has happened recently, you ask? Well, we kept our record in tact with Will getting sick the night before I left on my latest business trip (I'm blogging from the beautiful city of Boston). He seems to be on the mend, but he sounded like his own white noise machine for a day or so there. Poor kiddo!
Annie spent a week at a workshop at the Houston Ballet Academy. This was followed by two tickets to a performance of La Fille Mal Gardee', which she loved and clapped at all the right times. She'll do a two week theater camp for preschoolers at the end of the month that should be HIGHLY entertaining, as they will create their own production, costumes and all. I'll keep you posted.
I am headed to dinner and will promise to update even more later with my ventures in walking around Boston, including a Duck Boat tour of the city, pictures and all!
Peace out
