I drive by this sketchy boat dealership in the heart of Montrose many times a week. On Sunday, this poor soul was parked along the street. I'm not certain who had naming rights, but regardless... someone was not feeling the love.
'Nuf said.
If life were a 2-lane highway, then it would be easy. Instead it’s an eight lane interstate with the unknown waiting for you on the other side of the next overpass. Balancing out the speed traps, 4 car pileups, and 90 mph Texas lane changes on the interstate of life is both exciting and challenging - I wouldn't change anything about it!

Giddy-up giddy-up, let's go!
The tree is trimmed. The stockings are hung. The Santa Claus' are put out. Elf on the Shelf is strategically placed. Mama is pooped and it ain't even December!!!
But, I got Annie's birthday invites ordered, Christmas cards ordered, and made a cute collage thank you card from pics Lisa Marie took at Will's party and got those ordered! This, on top of the pajama laden Internet shopping, and I spent too many hours in front of the computer this weekend. Now I need to get back to work so I can get paid to clickety-clack away on the keyboard!
Here's one pic from the photoshoot... and there's many more to come!

Boys will be boys
Will recently turned 3 years old and got a clean bill of health at his checkup. His favorite activities are puzzles, his Batman laptop, whacking his sister, Buzz Lightyear, running full speed into objects or people, and whacking his sister.
His vocabulary is growing more rapidly than Mike and I can keep up with, and he has this cute little lisp (that hopefully will fade over time). It's a game for Mike and I to decipher what it is he's saying sometimes.
The latest interpretation:
Will - "Daddy, I'm foosy. I'm FOOSY!"
[Mike and I look at each other puzzled]
Will - "Daddy... I'M FOOOOSY!!!"
[We still are clueless]
Will - "Daddy, I want leche!"
Ahhh... Spanish we can understand. He's THIRSTY.
Now I've of course decided that's the cutest thing ever... and possibly might start calling Mike 'foosy' as a term of endearment.

Making a list... Checking it twice
After a nice Thanksgiving at our house where I cooked my first turkey, I'm gearing up for Christmas big time.
I did some heavy Black Friday shopping from the comfort of my home via the Internet - pj's on and coffee in hand. I estimate that I'm about 80% done, but that's probably giving myself too much credit. We'll see as I get closer how well I did yesterday.
Today we had our family photos taken - thank you Lisa Marie!!! I'm nearly done with designing our Christmas card and should have those ordered tomorrow... Yippee!
Two nice young men came and hung our lights on the house and trees today - something I discourage Mike from doing because our roofline is so high... at least until I can take out more life insurance on him. I still need to hang the garland on the porch, and plan to do that tomorrow.
Mike and Will picked out a new (fake) tree for the house - NOT prelit. We have bad luck with prelit trees and opted to go with the old school method. I love real trees, but nearly put myself in the hospital last time I had one from allergy and asthma overload.
I'm loving this sweater weather and hope it lasts! I'll post pics soon of the family photoshoot.

Testing 1...2...
(Tap tap tap)
"Can you hear me?"
"Is this thing on???"
If I can blog from my iPhone, what's the probability that I will do so more frequently than every three months? Better than zero, I hope!
