Viva Las Vegas

Aaahhhhhhh....
I just returned from 3 nights at the wonderful Monte Carlo on the lively Las Vegas strip. Did I win, you ask? Well, if you're talking about cash, then no. But if you're referring to blissful child-free moments with adult conversations, quiet naps by the pool, entertainment not suitable for people under the age of 18, then yes... I hit the jackpot! After a recent diagnosis by my internist of stress-induced hypertension, this was WAY overdue.
Mike and I went with good friends Vanessa and Nitin, and two other couples that are friends of theirs. Fun was had by all! We actually saw two shows (yes they were able to pull me away from the blackjack tables, David) - cirque de soliel's Zumanity - definitely not for the faint of heart or prude - and Frank Caliendo, an impressionist who was pretty good as well.
I did a little shopping but left most of my donation at the bj tables to a burly woman named Tatiana who could show a 6 and draw a 21 consistently like you've never seen before. But I had a great time never-the-less.
And the best part? A three day weekend to top it off! There were some cute pics taken that I'll post when I get copies, and some you'll have to find after I'm long dead and gone that Mike took of me and some guy named Steve.
Have a great Memorial weekend and say prayers for those who can't spend it with their families because they are defending our liberties.
